For as long as I can remember, I’ve believed in the beauty of family, love, and connection. I've been married to my beautiful wife for over 12 years now and we have two incredible children. I’ve officiated and attended numerous weddings over the past decade, and even after all this time, I still find myself moved by the moment two people stand side by side and choose each other—fully, freely, and for life.

My love for meaningful ceremonies started young. My mum tells me I would sing one of her and my late father’s wedding songs around the house as a child, long before I understood the depth of the commitment it represented.

In 2011, I lost my father, and like many who experience deep grief, I found myself unprepared for the impact. His passing — and the journey to Nigeria for his burial — changed me in ways I’m still learning to understand. It took time, but eventually, I found peace in celebrating his life and the legacy he left behind.

Becoming a celebrant wasn’t something I set out to do—it’s something that grew naturally from my experiences and my heart. Over the years, friends and family invited me to stand with them at some of life’s biggest moments: officiating weddings, welcoming new life through naming ceremonies, and offering words of comfort at funerals. Each time, I felt deeply honoured to be part of their story.

Today, I see my role as more than just leading a ceremony. I walk alongside couples, families, and individuals, helping them shape moments that feel true to who they are. Whether it’s celebrating new beginnings, honouring lifelong commitments, or saying a heartfelt goodbye, I’m here to ensure the words spoken and the memories created reflect the life, love, and story behind them.
